Return Policy for Priest River Pets

At Priest River Pets, customer satisfaction is our priority. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help. Our return policy outlines the guidelines for returning products, live animals, and fish.
1. General Merchandise Returns
We accept returns on most unopened, unused, and undamaged items within 30 days of purchase. Proof of purchase is required for all returns and exchanges.
Eligible Products: Non-perishable items like pet accessories, toys, bedding, and packaged food.
Ineligible Products: Opened pet food, treats, or any perishable items. For health and safety reasons, these items are non-returnable.
Process: Bring the product and receipt to our store for a refund or exchange. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment.
2. Live Animal Returns
Due to the delicate nature of live animals, we have a specific policy in place to protect their health and welfare.
Live Animal Return Window: You may return live animals, such as birds, reptiles, and small mammals, within 7 days of purchase if you are not satisfied with your new pet.
Conditions: The animal must be in good health, and you must bring your proof of purchase.
Deceased Animals: We understand that sometimes animals may not thrive in new environments. If your pet passes away within 48 hours of purchase, bring the pet and your receipt back to our store. We will issue an exchange or store credit. Deceased animals showing signs of abuse, neglect, or injury after purchase are not eligible for returns.
Refund/Exchange: Returns of live animals are subject to a restocking fee of 20% to cover care costs. Refunds or exchanges will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
3. Fish Returns
Fish are delicate and require specific environments. To ensure the best care, we have the following return policy for live and deceased fish:
Live Fish: You may return live fish within 24 hours of purchase if the fish is in good health and you have a valid receipt.
Deceased Fish: We understand that sometimes fish may not thrive in new environments. If your fish passes away within 48 hours of purchase, bring the fish and your receipt back to our store. We will issue an exchange or store credit.
Conditions: All returns are subject to water quality tests to ensure proper tank conditions.
4. Exclusions and Limitations
Animals showing signs of abuse, neglect, or injury after purchase are not eligible for refunds.
Clearance items and final sale products are non-returnable.
We reserve the right to refuse a return or exchange if the item does not meet our return policy conditions.
5. How to Initiate a Return
Please bring your item, along with the receipt, to our store. Our team will assist you with the process and determine if you qualify for a refund, exchange, or store credit.
